Welcome to Dublin Crew

Crew is a year round sport! - Welcome to the 2009 / 2010 Year!

Dublin Crew provides a tremendous opportunity to row whether a new or returning member year round:

  • Fall – Head Races (timed; one boat at a time)
  • Winter – Rowing Machines at the Ed Center (“erg’ing”); indoor regattas on erg machines (Cincinnati and OSU)
  • Spring – Sprints (timed; six boats at a time)
  • Summer – 6-week season with travel regatta at the end

This is a no try-out / no cut sport, and novice rowers automatically become varsity rowers by US Rowing standards by participating in all three contiguous seasons.

Competition is at an exciting level and involves travel to regattas out of town, so there is a time and financial commitment involved.

Parents will enjoy the exhilaration of watching the sport and hopefully participating in the many volunteer roles that sustain our organization and ensure success.

The Fall Crew Season Starts August 17...

It's never too soon to start planning for the Fall Season. Recruit for fall season and save on your registration fees! For each new rower you recruit that joins the club as a full member, you receive 50% off your registration fees.

Registration Deadline is  August 01 - Pay Fees Now Online!

This is a travel sport that requires a commitment from rowers and parents on several levels:

  1. time
  2. travel
  3. expense

Following is information presented at our Parent Meeting on 31-Aug-09 (these are Microsoft PowerPoint Presentations):

We provide convenient options to spread out registration fees and our new online payment center... this can also be used to may other misc. payments for gear, banquets, etc.

We cannot succeed as an organization, despite the talent of our coaches and rowers, without parent volunteer support - from working on the board or committees to all the roles required to enjoy successful and safe regattas - at home and away.
